GForce Engineering GTO Level 2 Billet Axle Stubs are a direct replacement for factory stub-shafts, and are designed for cars with mild bolt-ons to those running superchargers and turbos. Our level-2 GTO 1-piece CNC machined inner stubs are machined from a single piece of billet steel. GForce inner 1-piece stubs are the strongest possible stub we could fit in a 28 spline design.
The GForce GTO Level 2 inner stubs use an exotic steel that helps give a considerable increase in strength over the factory inner stubs. This is the first component of the axle that will see torque input, so it is generally the most abused component of the axle.
Ultimately, the factory rear end will be the limiting component for making more power reliably, so if you are considering making well beyond 650hp, you might consider looking into the GForce 9” conversion (contact us) which has helped customers make well into the 800-1000 range, with a handful of cars up around 1500hp. Important to note that any axle can fail at a lower power level due to wheel hop or misuse. The listed numbers should not be an expectation, but an idea for capability.

How does it work?

To combat this, J&L have developed an oil separator of their own design. Milled from solid billet aluminum this is a rock solid piece. It has a knurled tank base for easy removal to drain the spent oil and an O-ring seal to prevent any leaks.Filtering consists of a fine mesh stainless steel screen that traps fine oil vapors and releases them once heavy enough to fall. They then pass through a 1/2" thick 1/16th" aluminum honeycomb filter where they grow ever larger and then fall into the bottom. By the time the oil gets through the filter it's too heavy to be passed on into the intake. The tank holds 3 oz of fluid, while that may not sound like a lot, you shouldn’t see that much oil in your PCV system. Drain it every 2000-3000 miles and you will never come close to filling it.

COMP CAMS GEN3 HEMI VVT PHASER LIMITER KIT

While cam phasers provide tremendous efficiency benefits, they also present some limitations when it comes to performance camshafts. In turn, COMP Cams® has developed U.S. Patented Cam Phaser Limiter and Lock Kits for Chrysler Hemi 5.7L, 6.1L and 6.4L V8 engines. The limiter kits limit maximum cam phasing to 14 crank degrees (7 cam degrees) to provide the necessary piston to valve clearance when using larger aftermarket camshafts. Meanwhile, lock kits take all movement out of the phaser. Combining these performance modifications with more aggressive cam profiles will result in larger upper RPM gains without sacrificing any bottom end or mid-range performance. Specific notes for Pontiac G8 & Chevy SS:
All G8/SS axles are designed to work with the factory 32 spline differential and 30 spline wheel hubs. Australian platforms need to confirm spline counts before ordering as there are some variables.
Our average G8/SS customer is around 700hp, with some as high as 1000hp. Important to note that any axle can fail at a lower power level due to wheel hop or misuse. The listed numbers should not be an expectation, but an idea for capability.
Many customers will see a decrease in reliability with the factory SS differential around 800hp (ZL1 differential offering a little more strength). Some have certainly failed at considerably lower power levels, but also worth noting that if you plan to run competitively or at a considerably higher power level that you might consider an upgrade such as our 9” conversion.
FitmentGForce axle shafts were manufactured based on OEM suspension. Aftermarket shocks, control arms, etc. may present clearance issues. If CV boots have clearance issues, low profile boots can be purchased at an upgraded cost. The low profile boots reduce the amount of available axle angle in comparison to the standard boots, so they are not ideal for lowered or high axle angle vehicles. This includes 2010-15 Camaro and all years of Mopar platforms. If you have questions or would like to add low profile boots to your axles, please contact us for more information.

GForce does not put a power rating on any driveline components as there are entirely too many variables that can affect a driveline component outside of power. We take great pride in trying to build the strongest driveline components to fit within certain applications, but it is important to know that You, the end customer, are responsible for seeing to proper installation and You, as the driver, are responsible for the lifespan of your axles or other driveline components.
ServiceAll driveline components will fatigue or wear over time depending on how the vehicle is driven and what level of performance is demanded from them. CV joints are a wear item and will see wear over time, but with our current design, axles can be sent in for service. So boots, fasteners, and CV assemblies can be serviced without scrapping the complete axle assembly. It is up to each customer to establish their own maintenance intervals based upon the manner in which their car is driven. Individual inner or outer splined stubs and axle bars can be replaced as well if they twist or are damaged due to wheel hop or simply from power levels exceeding capability of the material. Nick Williams Performance drive-by-wire throttle bodies are CNC precision-machined from billet aluminum to meet the demands for increased airflow on the drive-by-wire LTX performance engines. The 112mm throttle bodies require an aftermarket intake or adapter plate to fit the larger diameter throttle blade. They use a 6-pin late model connector that works with late model wiring harnesses. The Nick Williams Performance drive-by-wire throttle bodies come completely assembled with bolts included.For use on the LT5 supercharger, an adapter plate is required for clearance. Of course, additional porting will be needed on the blower snout to optimize performance and clearance for the throttle body blade.Tuning is required for installation!
